THE PIERSON WILDELIFE MUSEUM LEARNING CENTER has launched a drive to raise funds
for the purchase of a wheelchair lift. The Museum Board of Directors wants to bring
the facility into compliance with Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) standards.
They have applied for a matching grant to assist with the purchase.
The apparatus is a platform designed for straight
stairways to provide a safe, reliable accessibility solution. The estimated cost is $20,000.
Persons wishing to contribute to the project may contact Stan Lichtenberg,
Chairman or Lois Peterson, Treasurer.
